College Fair
Each year Atlantic
Cape May Community College ( www.atlantic.edu )
holds a College Fair to provide local
high school seniors with the opportunity to meet with
college representatives.
The Atlantic County Branch has
participated for many years in this event by:
(1) providing
funding for the printed promotional materials,
(2) distributing
the fliers and posters to the high schools in the area,
(3) joining with
Kiwanis in setting up the display areas, and
(4) providing
refreshments for the college representatives who attend the
Fair.

Children’s
Theater
Each July the Stockton
Performing Arts Center ( www.stockton.edu/pac
) hosts a series of shows for children on each Wednesday of
the month. Members of the Atlantic County Branch support
this activity by distributing promotional brochures
throughout the local school districts and by serving as
ushers at the three performances given each Wednesday.
The Children’s Theater program was co-founded by Stockton
and the Atlantic City Branch of AAUW.

GED
Program at the Woman’s Center
The Atlantic
County Branch donated $1,000 to the Atlantic
County Women's Center towards the purchase of material
for a new GED program at the Center.

Branch Members are encouraged to volunteer as GED
tutors. Classes meet twice weekly in the morning.
